this engine stands out and stands up have seen this engine in action and it performs great could use extra power and some parts could wear more quickly then other engines but over all the engine is well worth the money spent

Carburetor Maintenance

Starts well but occasionally slows/stops, because of "fuel starvation" ?
Operating the choke usually prevents stopping.
Fuel filter seems ok. f fuel flows freely from carburetor feed pipe.

I have a SNAPPER riding mover with a POWERBUILT engine;12.5hp&344cc.
Your specification listing says I don't need an oil filter but I have one on my engine? Are there any POWERBUILT 344cc;12.5 engines that need an oil filter?

maybe they put another engine on your mower as a replacement if the engine has a filter just read the number on the side of it or use the model of the engine to order one

What makes this engine backfire like a shotgun but won't start?
It will crank overbut will not start
you have a bent rod or your valves are out of ajustments most likely or your flywheel has sliped out of position

why does fuel enter cylinder, creating a fluid block?
I used my mower for two seasons and did not have this problem.
My mower sat over the winter with about 1/4 tank of ethanol 10% fuel in it. When I tried to start it, it turned one time and locked up. I checked my oil and found fuel had entered the case and I had to drain my oil and manually turn the engine to force the fuel out of the cylinder after I had drained the fuel from the tank. Refilled the case with oil and replaced the plug. Added fuel and started the engine. It ran great, so I mowed for about twenty minutes and turned off the engine. One hour later I wanted to finished mowing so I tried starting it again and it locked up again. Fuel in oil again!! WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?

sounds to me your exhaust valve is sticking the extra fuel needs a place to go if it can't get out the exhaust it will find it's way to the block this will allso cause the engine to lock up allso check the crankcase breather it may be stuck too when a engine sets in a moist area or in a barn it will seize up in the position if was stoped in if it happens too many times it will bend the rod

Where can I get wiring diagrams to put a 21B807-0326 on a Snapper M301019 BE that had a 28B707-1153-E1
I'm replacing the old 10 hp with a new 13.5 hp Intek engine. I found a diagram for the Snapper with the 10 hp engine but none with the new 13.5 hp engine. A diagram for a Snapper with a 13.5 hp engine would be nice, but an electrical diagram for the new engine would help.
if you took the engine off of another mower take the wireing off of it too that will eliminate alot of rewireing in the engine side then just follow the basic setup for that engine the engine is simple as long as you make it simple but there are diagrams for every engine and equipment made just type in the engine seperate from the mower and together they will come together

Overflow of gasoline Eng 344cc
When I start the eng the carburator inmediately overflow and gasoline gets into eng oil and cylinders. Could it be the electric controled valve at the bottom of the gas reservoir under the base of the carburator ?
sounds like the needle valve is stuck or the automatic choke is not working properly

replacement mufferl
just purchased a new inteck 21b907 motor to use on a 25 inch rear engine model 25 series 6 lawn mower every think bolts up nice except cannot mount rear bagger kit on right side do to large muffler on this unit , can you suggest a replacement muffler kit so I can attach my rear bagger ?
yes as long as the engine is in the same engine catogory you can change it out with another but first you should determine if it will affect the other components around the engine plus you should determine if the bagger is that important before you change it out mulching grass and placeing it back into the earth is more healthy for your grass as long as you cut the grass when the heat level is low
