swordmaker's Questions

The 1450 Series™ is designed to meet the needs of heavy-duty equipment. These engines utilize Overhead Valve (OHV) technology, causing them to run cooler and last longer, all while delivering more power and exceptional performance.

What is the black wire, protruding from the front of my new 1450, intended to accomplish?

I recently received my new 1450, aka model 20s232-0036f1. The engine prents a small guage, black wire, which protrudes from the front of the engine---it is not connected to anything, and appears to be a ground wire. I need to know what to do with this wire. The engine has a throttle control, with "stop" position, the black wire appears to be a ground, and I am lost with regards as to what the wire should be connected to.
