The Craftsman Exclusive Platinum Series™ engines are available exclusively on select Craftsman tractors. Qualified to 25% longer life, created for medium to heavy-duty use. Heavy-duty V-Twin engines deliver more power, less vibration, quieter running and greater durability for the toughest work in your yard.

Can you explain or provide a visual of throttle linkage and cable setup?

I received my YT4000 w/Platinum Series 24HP V-Twin (4456772188G5). It had difficulty starting and felt under powered (compared to my older 18.5 Intek). I'm not sure I have full throttle travel available, it feels like it's binding! I'm not sure the choke is engaging or that I have full RPM once started. None of the supplied manuals give a good visual rendering of the throttle linkage setup. Looking at the throttle lever there appears to be an indent for the choke setting but my lever never reaches it. When I go through the throttle range I hear/feel very little difference in engine RPM, the lever just feels binding and springs back to the original position.
