gas cap

I have a Poulan push mower with the B&S 450 engine. The gas cap has two tabs instead of threads on it. Engine model is 9t502 1017f1 10041555, manufactured April 2010, in McRae, GA. Is Gas Cap (799585) the right one to replace mine? One of the two tabs is broken off, and the gas cap does not stay on properly.

Is this gas cap the thread type, or the 2-tab type/

I am looking for a gas cap than comes on the newer small push mowers sold at Wal-mart, such as the ones with the Bridds & Stratton models 300 or 450. Both of these mowers come with a taller gas cap that has 2 tabs rather than threads. So far I have been unable to find a replacement (one of the tabs is partially broken and doesn't always stay tight).
