Run Time @ 1/2 Load is approx 10 hours

It says that Run Time @ 1/2 Load is approx 10 hours.

Is there a setting on the 5500 watt generator to to set it to 1/2 Load?

or does it mean that you plug in only the appliances that add up to 1/2 Load and the generator adjusts down?
