The all new 725ex Series™ engines provide easier starting, more durability, and lower emissions. These engines provide the power needed for high-performance mowing. Featuring Maxi-Clean™ air cleaner, and a Super Lo-Tone™ Muffler, and Ready Start® starting system.

Just bought a 725ex Series Briggs & Stratton on a Brute mower. I was wandering what the horsepower of this motor is?

This motor makes about 6.6ft*lbs @ 3600rpm which is approximately 4.5HP. If you download the torque curve under the specs tab for the engine you can verify these numbers. Also Briggs states on the notes of that torque curve that they use 3600 rpm for HP calculations.
