Can you use the Pump Saver product with an electric pressure washer

How do you get the product to go through the pump with an electric pressure washer? With a gas washer you can turn the ignition off and pull the cord a couple of times to get the product through the pump. My owners manual says never to turn the electric washer on when no water is running, so how do you get the Pump Saver product through the pump.
