Is there a quiter muffler available?

I love my snow blower but have small kids asleep so can't use it too early in the mornings or after they have gone to bed.

Is there a quieter muffler available, either Briggs or after market. Would fitting a scooter muffler or an RV generator muffler affect the engine?
