Can adding Sta-bil to the engine instead of the gasoline cause it to not start the first time?

I have brand new mower. I added the Sta-bil to the mower instead of the gas can. Then I added the gas. Now it won't start. This is a brand new mower. Will this keep it from starting or is something else wrong. 550-ex Ready-Start without throttle control. Should I try to siphon the mixture out? I put about an ounce and a half Sta-bil into the tank then added the gas.
