This is my second Briggs engine this year the first one was the 140cc engine that had stalling issues so i returned it and got this 190 cc 6.75 torque engine and what a difference.This engine is more powerful and runs a 100 times better.The engine takes two pulls to get it started and it runs smooth and cuts the grass with no problems.I would have given it 5 stars if it started with one pull but it's not a deal breaker.

I have use this mower 4 times and had a problem right out of the box.The engine wants to stall when pushing it back and forth so bad the engine almost stalls.There is a lean skip to the engine so i called Briggs And Stratton and they said there isn't any adjustments to the carburetor anymore so it's going back to the store.

Will not start hot
This machine is only one month old with new fuel and it will not start after running for 20 minutes.If I let it sit for two hours it will restart. I asked Briggs & Stratton and they sent me a email on how to take apart a carburetor. This is not acceptable on a new mower. No help here and poor customer service.

Engine will not start HOT unless cooled off for 2 hours
I haven't even reached the first 5 hour oil change and already i am having problems. I tried pulling the starter rope 15 times and the engine would not start so I let it sit for two hours and after cooling down it started normally. The fuel is fresh and is below 10% ethanol. I could smell fuel so I stopped tiring to start it. I think it has something to do with the automatic choke or the ignition system but I didn't have another person to pull it over so I could check for spark. Sears only has a 30 day return policy so I am stuck with this mower. Any help besides sending it to the repair shop would be a great help because I have read other reviews with the same problem and the repair shops didn't fix a thing. HELP !

Engine surge and wanting to stall
I bought this push mower @ sears with this engine and added the oil and fresh gas and the engine wanted to stall and was surging.After about 10 minutes it seemed to run better but it did bog down in tall but not wet grass.The engine does start on the first pull every time.It sounds like it needs to warm up but that doesn't make any sense.

why after 2 seasons does this engine have no compression and will not start
I have had this mower for 2 seasons and now it will not start, so I took it to a B&S authorized service center and they told me only 35 pounds of compression and it is a throw away engine. Why is that?
I would take a wet and dry compression test and find out if it's piston rings or valves first before i would toss the engine.What they mean by a throw away engine is that the cost of the parts and labor to repair it would equal a new engine.

Fuek leaks into/ from air filter after 3 uses - why and how do I fix?
Engine won't start unless air filter and cover are removed
Is the oil over filled.There may be a problem with the auto choke?

Where is the oil drain plug?
There isn't a drain plug you need to tip the mower and empty it out where you fill it.Make sure the gas is empty so you don't make a mess and you have a big enough drain pan.Also remove the spark plug wire for safety.
