My wife bought this old John Deere 116 with the 16HP Briggs and Stratton opposed twin over 20 years ago used. It is used to cut the front and back yard of our farm every week in the summer. Yes I have removed the heads and rebuilt the carb a few times but I keep the oil clean and run 10W30 full synthetic. It is all about the quality of this engine and meticulous maintenance that has kept her running since 1982.
