Bought a Bolens push mower from Lowes with this little baby on it over five years ago. Have abused it many times by leaving outside unprotected for days and sometimes weeks. This thing has cut some pretty nasty bumpy terrain and taken its lumps like a champ. It still keeps truckin. As a combat veteran I can appreciate that. After all that I finally replaced the breather tube and spark plug boot but thats it. If you do the maintenance like your supposed to on anything mechanical it should last you a lifetime. If not the parts are pretty affordable so you can repair at low cost.
ProsEasy to assemble, great for the money
Yes, I recommend this product.

BOLENS 11A-414S265/ I NEED A NEW GAS CAP FOR MY TANK AND CANNOT LOCATE ONE/ BRIGGS & sTRATTON ENGINE TYPE 9BSXS-1581VX QUICK LOCK GAS CAP

LOOKED EVERYWHERE, CANNOT FIND GAS CAP/ QUICK LOCK WITH ORING SEAL
Best thing is to use their website (Briggs and Stratton).Enter the engine type and any other info it asks for and you can pull up the manual, drawing, and pretty much anything else you need and order direct from them. Also try the Fix and Maintain link on their home page.

carburator adjustment or what ?

Hi,
about 3 months ago, I'd bought a Yard Machine lawn mower model 11A A14E500, equipped with Briggs and Stratton motor series 500, 158CC.
The motor start easily, but after 7 or 8 minutes of running, the motor fall at very low idling ( like Harley's Davisdon motorcycle, waiting for the street's light,,,,tuff,,,tuff ,,,tuff,,,tuff ) This situation should be 5 or 6 minutes long, and suddenly, the rpm come normal...
If I stop the motor during this situation, the motor restart easily, but still running at very low idle.
I found a trick,,,motor running at very low idle; I remove the air filter, and manually choke the carburator air inlet for a second, and the rpm became normal
Curiously, my sister, my neighbor and I, have bought the same machine, at the same store, at the same time,,,????
Please, tell me what to do to correct the situation, other than bring the machine at service's store ?
Thank you
Maybe the small throttle spring behind the carburator is damaged, missing, or loose. You can check your spark plug gap also. The wrong gap can cause a similar situation. Mine did something like that after four to five years when I cracked the breather tube. Maybe something in that area could be damaged. Hope this helps or points to the right direction.
