Wattage on 1650 polar engine
I just purchased a new Ariens snow blower. The headlight is not adequate for my needs. I would like to add two 35 watt seal beams on this machine so I can do my sidewalks safely in the early mornings. Would this additional lighting damage the generator on this engine. The machine also has hand warmers on the grips and a factory 20 watt head light.
I looked everywhere but can't find the specs on electrical output of this engine. It seems to work, but I didn't do the installation yet.

how much horse power is 342 cc Ariens polar force 1650? wish they told us the hp instead of cc.
By downloading the engine specs and doing a little math the answer is found. The math conversion is (Torque X RPM) / 5252 = Horsepower.
The engine specs for the 1650 Polar Engine are:
16.5 torque @ 2800 rpm and at max rpm, 15.6 torque @ 3600 rpm.
So it equates to 8.8 - 10.69 HP depending on engine speed.
